December 2024 Featured Artist: Marcy Johnson
Marcy is a multi-talented artist who creates beautiful hand-made jewelry and hand-woven wearable items. Her unique jewelry is made from different metals incorporating a variety of patinas and textures. You will find jewelry embellished with fabrics and beads, as well as quirky pieces such as her button necklaces. Marcy uses multiple looms to create colorful and elegant shawls, scarves, and rugs that will delight your senses. Both practical, colorful, and lovely, her scarves are so soft to your touch. Her knitted open-finger hand warmers are perfect for a cold winter’s day. Marcy is also a teacher of master weaving techniques and origami.
Penn Cove Gallery Welcome’s Acrylic Painter, Judy Bishop
Judy moved to Coupeville 10 years ago and says “Coupeville is my favorite place in the world and I feel very lucky to be living here”. The beautiful woods, parks, historic sites, flowers and fauna, and views of the water, are often inspirations for her paintings. Judy began painting in water colors but has since branched out to the mediums of acrylics, watercolor batik, and pastels. She loves to retreat to her studio and create art. Judy has admired Penn Cove Gallery for years and is excited to be one of our new artists. Please come by to visit Judy’s acrylic paintings and see the various pieces she has on display.
