Love: It’s Complicated at Noorlag Saloon

The program includes Clara Schumann’s “Romances”, Robert Schumann’s “Fairy Tales” and Brahms’ trio for natural horn, violin and piano. The young and ferociously talented Johannes Brahms was introduced to Robert and Clara Schumann by their mutual friend the violinist Joseph Joachim, and soon became part of the Schumann family’s inner circle. As Robert Schumann experienced increasingly severe mental health struggles, Brahms helped Clara care for the children as she embarked on concert tours to support her family. It was – well, it was complicated. The music exemplifies the Romantic period – full of lush harmonies and gorgeous melodies and SO many feelings!
