Myra Mae Studios – “small wonders”

small wonders opens December 2nd and runs through December 31st.

Featuring the art of three like-minded, fiercely curious women sharing in the discovery of wonder through simple observation of small things and/or quiet moments – revisiting our loving and happenstance relationship with nature from a youthful, spirited perspective.

Acrylic painter and Langley artist, Myra Platt, relishes in playing detective, with her playful seasonal studies of snow, trees, bugs, birds and fungi.

Print maker and Greenbank artist, Britt McKenzie likes playing with design while brazenly teaching herself the process of reduction block printing.

Landscaper and West Seattle artist, Mikal Donnelly daringly explores the use of color, pattern and meditative repetition in fabric and mixed media.

Come explore this wonderland of small works and big ideas – soulful and stirring, merry and bright. And yes the price is perfect for those who are looking for original and meaningful art to either own or gift to a loved one.

This event coincides with the GRAND OPENING of the CLINTON ARTS DISTRICT – complete with chili and cornbread, hot cider and festive caroling.
