Rhythms of Nature II – A Celebration
Join the musicians of Whidbey’s Saratoga Orchestra in a celebration of Whidbey’s Earth & Ocean Month. Rhythms of Nature II features chamber music, poetry and prose on April 1, 3:00pm at Langley United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall and on April 2, 3:00pm at Oak Harbor Methodist Church.
Featured works include David Madeira’s Minus Nine for three marimbas, vibraphone and string quartet; John Luther Adams’ In a Treeless place, only Snow for vibraphones, keyboards and string quartet; and Earthscape by David Marlatt for brass and organ. Back by popular demand are members of The Four Voices reading their poetry and prose throughout the program.
