Raining Cats and Dogs – Whidbey Clay Center
Attention animal lovers-- The Whidbey Clay Center gallery is pleased to present our April exhibition, "Raining Cats and Dogs." During the month of April we'll be featuring locally made cat and dog themed ceramics. During the show opening artwork awards will be given for Best in Show, Grand Champion, and People's Choice. Wednesdays with Jordan Jones
Get your hands dirty and unleash your inner artist as you learn the pottery wheel with instructor Jordan Jones! We'll cover all the basics- wedging, centering, throwing, trimming and glazing. Beginners welcome. Wednesdays from 6-8:30pm Session 1- January 8, 15, 22, 29, February 5, 12 ($330) Session 2- February 26, March 5, 12, 19, 26, April 2 ($330) One bag of clay is included with tuition

This 6-week course will be an opportunity to hone your wheel throwing skills and find new ways to alter and finish your thrown pots. Choose to tackle one of two projects: 1. Make a matching set 2. Advanced Raku
Explore the wildly exciting and sometimes unpredictable world of raku! In this class we'll experiment with horsehair and naked raku slip surface decorations. This class includes two days of making in the WCC studio and one fun-filled day of firing.
